Relationships: How to keep Arguments from Escalating!

Every couple has arguments, whether it be an disagreement or something that just pisses one of you off. But before the arguments get heated and the mean words start flying what can couples do to try and keep the peace? Street Love is here to help!

#1. Keep Positive Thoughts! Although arguments can be heated and aggressive, you must keep your mind clear of evil thoughts when having a confrontational argument with your spouse. Negative energy really does exist and can escalate a situation! Try to think logical even when your spouse is pushing your buttons.

#2. Walk Away! If you have to take a walk to get away from a bad argument, do so! Walking has always been a stress reliever and it also gives your partner time to think and calm down also. If you cannot walk away or are being forced to stay, try to get in contact with a family member or police to help you out of that situation immediately!

#3. Control your choice of words! As a boyfriend or girlfriend we know what buttons to push! So why push them, and say things that we know may start a fight? Thinking before speaking is something I believe every couple should practice. Disrespect will always be a reason to fight, so just don't do it!

#4. Give a surprise kiss, mid- argument! Believe it or not ladies and gents this sometimes works! These days women seem to be playing the role of being hard like a man and emotion-less, and men are pulling away being more distant because of it. A simple act of love and affection just may change an argument. Us women have to take back that caring attitude and show some love! If a kiss can calm you and your man's storm it's definitely worth a try! And gentlemen- for sure a kiss can win over your lady during heated times. Even if she acts like it didn't, it did. Keep trying if you truly love your lady. The arguments are not worth it!
