Hip Hop show "Queens" is heating up! Brandy's Rap Scene trending! [Video]

CNN may feel the new series "Queens" is a soapy drama, but the black community is eating it up! Trending online for Brandi's skills in a recent rap battle scene, the hip hop series also includes Eve, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez who all come together to form "Nasty Girls" a former 90's hip hop/rap group.

Eve, Brandi and Naturi- who all have actually been on the music charts in real life, are said to be excited to be performing and singing again, and it shows! The women are getting great reviews for their acting and singing debuts on the show- Watch them in action below!

Produced by "Scandals" Zahir McGhee and with Swizz Beatz, (co-creator of Verzuz) as the show’s executive music producer, "Queens" has fans loving the plot, and the music! With other cast members like harlem-bred rapper Camron, who appears in the show as Brandy's ex, he is sure to bring an authentic feel to this hip hop/ rap series!

In the series which premiered on October 19th, Brianna (Eve) is a busy mom of five, while Jill "Da Thrill" (Naturi), is more of a church lady. Naomi aka "Xplicit Lyrics" (Brandy) is a struggling singer-songwriter; and “Butter Pecan” Valeria (Nadine Velazquez), is a morning show host. Even in their fourties, all the women are ready to show that they still have what it takes to be relevant in a new generation of music lovers, and old! Stay tuned on Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC!
