Young Boy NBA is officially the Tupac and Lil Wayne of his generation! Now the third rapper of all time to go number #1 while incarcerated!
Topping the Billboard 200 charts with "Sincerely Kentrell" , YB has passed up Kanye West's "Donda" and Drake's "CLB" making him Billboard's first rapper to be #1 for three years in a row! "Sincerely, Kentrell" is the fourth consecutive No. 1 album for YB, following his previous chart-toppers AI YoungBoy 2, 38 Baby 2, and Top.
Late, great rapper Tupac was the first rapper ever to have a number #1 album while serving a prison sentence, when he dropped "Me Against the World" in 1995 ( with classic tracks like "So Many Tears " and "Dear Mama"). The next rapper was Lil Wayne who came in second with his album "I am Not a Human Being" which he released in 2010 while he was doing time at Rikers Island, in solitary confinement.
All selling millions within their first week, these three rappers obviously have something their fans want to hear, and they deliver regardless of the circumstances! So, we salute them! Any milestones accomplished should be acknowledged! Congrats to Young Boy NBA...his family will never be broke again!!!
